The International Multiplier Event (IME) took place in Luxembourg on October 11, 2024 at the University of Luxembourg. The event was opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andreas Bund, University of Luxembourg, who then presented the main points and objectives of the EduPASS project in a short presentation. In three presentations, the approximately 25 national and international participants then dealt in detail with the various EduPASS results and their significance and relevance for specific professional practice or education and training programs. Within the framework of EduPASS, a comprehensive competence-based profile (knowledge, skills, attitudes, values) for educators and youth trainers in sport was developed. This profile served as the basis for the development of a modular qualification program specifically tailored to the needs of these target groups. Prof. Dr. Roland Naul, Willibald Gebhardt Insititute e.V (Germany) presented the details of the scientifically based development process and the intellectual results.
An important aspect of the EduPASS project was the development of an innovative online teaching platform based on the competence profile and modular qualification program, which offers access to high-quality further education by developing core modules. This was presented by Dr. Sebastian Brückner, Willibald Gebhardt Institute e.V. (Germany), Declan O’Leary, Sport Ireland Coaching, and Dr. Biljana Popeska, University of Luxembourg. Furthermore, an evaluation tool was developed to ensure the quality of PAMPS (physical activity, movement, play and sport) offers and programs for children. This tool helps to measure and continuously improve the effectiveness of PAMPS programs. Assistant Professor Manolis Adamakis from the University of Luxembourg presented this in detail.
During the event, we shared valuable insights into the potential and added value of the project for the field of physical education and sports. The discussions highlighted the importance of informal and non-formal settings in shaping the future of education.
A big thank you to all the participants for contributing to these inspiring exchanges.
